Graduating from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government's program for senior executives in state and local government, Cynthia is a Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors and a member of The International Association of Privacy Professionals and Women in Cybersecurity.

Her published works, including "Women Securing the Future with TIPPS for IoT," demonstrate her commitment to empowering others in cybersecurity. Mares has held significant roles such as the Arapahoe County Public Trustee, managing an annual budget of $1.3 million and overseeing the flow of approximately $70,000,000 annually.

Her past presidencies of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association, coupled with her dedication as a mentor for students and young lawyers, amplify her passion for leadership and advocacy.
